Mike & Molly (2010)

Mike and Molly is the story of two people from Chicago who discover themselves and fall in love at a meeting of Anonymous Eaters. Officer Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell) is a big-hearted cop who sincerely wants to lose weight. His partner, Officer Carl McMillan (played by Reno Wilson), is a thin, big-mouthed swindler who encourages Mike to lose weight and find a girlfriend, even if he sometimes laughs at him. Mike is also tempted at the restaurant where he and Carl go often and where they befriended Senegalese waiter Samuel (played by Nayambi Nyambi), who has never heard of diets. While talking about him at a meeting of Anonymous Eaters, Mike meets Molly Flynn (well-known actress Melissa McCarthy).
